Job Opportunity: Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
Location
- Anderson, South Carolina
Employment Type
- Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each)
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend

- Emergency Department (ED)
- Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Coronary Care Unit (CCU)

- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
- Labor & Delivery (L&D)
- Floating to different hospital areas and an additional campus location as needed
Required Certifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Charting System
- EPIC
Licensure
- Current, valid state license for Respiratory Therapist (primary source verification required)
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Proof of I-9 or attestation
- Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during work hours)
- Background checks including:
- 7-year criminal history check (all locations lived/worked in past 7 years)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM verification within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
- HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
- International background check if lived outside the U.S. in last 7 years
- Transcript or diploma verification as applicable
- National certification verification (NBRC RRT cert required; CRT acceptable)
- Color blindness test (Ishihara) required
- Physical exam within 1 year confirming good health
- Annual fit mask test (N95 or equivalent)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes
- Immunizations or titers for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- 9-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season (Nov 1 – Apr 1)
- Photo for badge (no visible nose piercings allowed)
- Completion of facility-specific online orientation and acknowledgment
- Stroke education and acknowledgment if working over 1 year at the facility
- Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
- Completed employment application/resume
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in South Carolina
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
- Recent Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
