Vascular Ultrasound Technician (32 hrs/week, Day Shift)

Location: Salem, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (shared on-call until 8:00 PM)

Job Summary

• Work in a two-room vascular lab equipped with GE E10 ultrasound units, Parks PVR units, and treadmills.
• Use EPIC and Visage PACS for charting and imaging.
• Patient population is diverse with a 1:1 clinician-to-patient ratio.
• No floating required.

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist within the last year.
• Experience as a Vascular Sonographer.

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) certification required.
• Professional license verification required within 30 days of start date; Massachusetts conditional licenses are not accepted.

Required Health & Safety Credentials

• N95 Fit Test within 365 days of start date, updated annually (no exemptions allowed).
• Respirator Medical Clearance attestation required if fit test is needed.
• Documentation of MMR immunity (vaccines or blood test).
• TB test documentation within 3 months of start date, updated if break >6 months.
• Physician health statement within 365 days of start date, updated if break >6 months.
• Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity strongly preferred.
• Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred.

Background & Professional Requirements

• Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start, updated if break >6 months.
• Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start, updated if break >6 months.
• National sex offender registry check within 30 days prior to start, updated annually.
• Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start, updated annually.
• Social Security Number trace for past 7 years.
• Verification of highest education level achieved.
• Submission of a detailed resume covering the past 7 years of work experience.
• Two professional references within 4 years, including at least one supervisor or higher.
• Completion of a skills checklist within 1 year of submission.
• Submission of a candidate coversheet for initial assignment.

Additional Information

• No rotating shifts required beyond specified days.
• Bed count and census not applicable.
• No prior travel experience explicitly required.
