Registered Nurse (RN) - Stepdown (Days)

Location: Keene, New Hampshire
Employment Type: Temporary
Shift: Days
Hours per Day: 12
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Coordinate total nursing care for adult-geriatric patients.
  • Participate in patient and family teaching.
  • Provide leadership by collaborating with ancillary nursing and other patient care team members.
  • Float to an additional unit as needed.
  • Use Epic electronic medical record system.
  • Dress code: Traveler must provide professional scrubs without logos.
  • No block scheduling; all scheduling requests must be submitted upfront and will not be approved after offer.
  • 48-hour shift guarantee (36-hour guarantee not available).
  • Must have own vehicle; public transportation is not available in this small community.
  • Return-to-Office (RTO) of 5 days or less accepted; all RTO details must be included in profile.
  • All medical and occupational health compliance items must be completed and uploaded within 5 days of offer acceptance.

Required Qualifications

  • Active New Hampshire RN license or Compact RN license valid in New Hampshire (must be uploaded with profile).
  • Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
  • Cardiac drip experience required (must be noted on profile).
  • Dementia experience/management required.
  • Epic experience required.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification (current).
  • American Heart Association ACLS certification (current).

Preferred Qualifications

  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) experience strongly preferred.

Additional Information

  • Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered.
  • Facility is a 169-bed regional referral center serving southwestern New Hampshire.
  • The area offers numerous outdoor recreational activities including hiking and historical sightseeing.
