Description
Charge Nurse (RN) - Days
Location: Bangor, Maine
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 36
Job Summary
- Coordinate and direct total nursing care for an assigned group of residents/patients during the shift.
- Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident/patient care.
- Provide leadership and work cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other care team members.
- Serve as a resource and quality management coordinator for the unit.
- Provide administrative backup support in the absence of the Director of Nursing.
- Maintain resident/patient privacy and confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the State of Maine
- Minimum of 3 years of Long Term Care nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Additional Information
- Travelers must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
- The facility may cancel or call off up to three shifts during the 13-week assignment.
- Local travelers are accepted but will receive a lower local rate.
