Job Opportunity: Home Health Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel/Contract

Work Schedule

• Day shift, 5 days per week (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• 40 hours per week guaranteed
• Weekend requirement: every 3rd to 4th weekend as needed
• On-call required after hours and weekends (every 3rd to 4th weekend as needed)

Job Description

• Average patient visits: 5-20 per day
• Visits include wound care, wound vac, IV therapy (antibiotics, TPN), post-orthopedic/joint care, incision assessment follow-up, post-surgical assessment/complications, post-stroke care, pneumonia care, trach care and teaching, G-tube feedings and teaching, ADLs assessment, OASIS documentation
• Clinical nursing with physical therapy (PT) and occupational therapy (OT) involvement in home care
• Clinicians typically work within assigned PODs (groups of zip codes with multidisciplinary teams) but may assist other PODs as needed
• Travel radius for patient visits ranges from approximately 40 to 80 miles per day
• Mileage reimbursement provided

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
• Minimum of 1 year of Home Health experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience in a Home Care setting
• Orthopedics experience
• Experience with OASIS
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Phlebotomy skills
