Special Procedures Tech - Radiology
Location: Savannah, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Overview
- Unit: Angiography / Interventional Radiology (IR) Labs
- Beds: 3 Angiography Labs (2 Dedicated IR Labs, 1 Hybrid OR)
- Patient Ratio: 1:1
- Staffing: Teams typically include Lead Tech, RN, ARRT/RTR, RCIS (3-4 person teams; ideal staffing is 2 Techs and 2 RNs)
- Equipment: IVUS, Shockwave, Angio Jet, Jet Stream
- Documentation System: EPIC Cupid
- Scheduling: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each, with on-call requirements
- Patient Population: High acuity, including ICU and ER patients
- Procedures Performed: Permcath, Port Placement, Thrombectomy, Atherectomy, TVAR, TIPS, EVAR, PE interventions, Stroke, Trauma care
Required Qualifications
- Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
- ARRT Certification
- ACLS and BLS certification
- ICU and ER experience
- Critical care drip (gtt) management

- The unit is part of a Level 1 Trauma Center and a Certified Stroke Center
- High acuity patient population requiring advanced skills in interventional radiology procedures
