Description
Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location
- Galax, Virginia
Employment Type
- Travel contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- 36 hours per week guaranteed
- Shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekend hours: 12 hours every other weekend
- No call requirements
- Float as needed
Unit and Patient Population
- Department: Cardiopulmonary (Respiratory Therapy)
- Facility size: 125 beds
- Patient population: All ages (pediatric, adult, geriatric)
- Common diagnoses: Various respiratory issues
- Equipment used: Ventilators, BiPAPs, ABGs
- Electronic Health Record system: McKesson
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license in Virginia
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, including experience within the last year
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
