Description
Occupational Therapist
Location: Klamath Falls, Oregon
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours per Week: 40
Job Summary
- Plan and administer medically prescribed occupational therapy treatment programs to restore function, relieve pain, and help patients adapt to disability following disease, injury, or loss of body parts.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Provide diagnostic and therapy services under valid provider orders using professional judgment for skilled care.
- Identify and refer patients through screening, informal evaluations, and communication with other healthcare personnel.
- Re-evaluate patient needs, modify treatment plans, and prepare discharge summaries as needed.
- Prepare and maintain timely written and electronic documentation, including billing, evaluation reports, treatment plans, and daily progress notes.
- May include some outpatient therapy but must have inpatient skills.
Required Qualifications
- Current Oregon licensure as an Occupational Therapist or eligibility with evidence of application for licensure.
- Experience in outpatient therapy for adults, including neurological conditions and post-surgical cases.
- Ability to obtain or possess a current driver’s license or provide an acceptable alternative.
- Computer literacy skills.
Additional Information
- BLS Certification required.
- Housing is very difficult for candidates with pets; special housing arrangements must be made prior to placement.
- Start date flexible to any Monday with hospital approval.
- Shifts may be 8 or 10 hours depending on facility needs.
