Description
Cath Lab Technologist
Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Work in a Cath Lab setting with responsibilities including scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring peripheral/vascular cases, right and left heart catheterizations, and possibly scrubbing devices and working in Electrophysiology (EP) cases.
- Utilize equipment and systems such as XIM (Philips charting), EPIC, Pyxis, Xcelera, Siemens, and Philips fluoroscopy systems.
- No floating to other units; work is confined to the Cath Lab.
- Unit has 8 fluoroscopy rooms and 1 minimally invasive room without fluoroscopy.
Schedule
- Shift: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (40 hours/week)
- Shift times vary: 05:30-16:00, 06:30-17:00, or 07:30-18:00
- On-call requirement: 1 call per week and 1 weekend call every 3-4 weeks
- 30-minute response time for on-call duties
- May be required to cover holiday calls (Thanksgiving and Christmas)
- Must be on mandate list to fill any vacant call not picked up
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist (use 3 years as the higher requirement)
- BLS certification (must be AHA)
- ACLS certification (must be AHA)
- RCIS or RCES certification preferred but not required
Additional Information
- Scrubs provided (Ceil Blue color)
- All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
- Orientation focuses on monitoring in XIM and effective scrubbing and circulating
- Local placements within an 80-mile radius

- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission.
