Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray) - Temp Position
Location: San Francisco, California
Shift: Afternoons
Hours per day: 8
Job Summary
Provide mobile X-Ray and EKG services to nursing homes, healthcare, and other facilities using portable digital (DR) or computed (CR) radiography equipment. Perform exams ordered by physicians, ensuring clinically diagnostic and technically competent images. Transmit images and EKGs to appropriate specialists for interpretation. Maintain equipment and vehicle, and handle related documentation daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and process portable X-Rays and transmit to Radiologists.
- Perform EKGs as needed and transmit to Cardiologists.
- Unload and transport portable X-Ray equipment into facilities.
- Scan exam-related paperwork and billing documents daily per protocol.
- Communicate regularly with dispatch, management, peers, supervisory staff, and clients.
- Maintain vehicle and X-Ray equipment in good working order.
Physical Demands
- Ability to push/pull equipment weighing 50–100 lbs multiple times daily (16 to 24 times).
- Use of vehicle ramps and pulleys reduces physical strain but some heavy lifting may be required inside facilities or homes.
- Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technician license in California
- ARRT certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- Minimum of 1 year of Radiology Technician experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience as an X-Ray Technician
Contract Details
- Contract length: 13 weeks.
- No guaranteed hours.
- Standard assignment duration is 8 weeks (default).
Additional Information
- Scrub color: Navy Blue.
- Must have no non-compete agreements to be presented for this position.
- COVID-19 status must be provided at time of presentation.
