Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

- Farmington, New Mexico
- Community hospital setting in the San Juan River Valley region
Contract Details
- Travel assignment
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Nights, 7 PM – 7 AM
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
- Weekend hours: Vary
- No call requirements
- No float requirements
Unit Profile
- Department: Labor and Delivery (Childbirth Center)
- Beds: 17 plus 2 triage rooms
- Patient population: Adult and newborn
- Patient ratios follow AWHONN standards
- Approximately 75 deliveries per month
- Equipment includes fetal monitors, ISTAT, and Freestyle
- Electronic Health Records: Cerner and Fetalink
Required Certifications
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program, AHA)
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
- AWHONN certification (must be renewed every 2 years)
Required Experience & Skills
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience working with infant patients
- Experience in charge nurse roles
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
