Registered Nurse (RN) - Nephrology

Unit & Facility Overview
- Unit: Nephrology (extension of Med/Surg units)
- Facility type: Level III trauma center with 24 beds on the Nephrology/Med-Surg floor
- Patient population: Geriatric and adult patients
- Patient ratios: 1:4 to 1:6
- Common diagnoses/treatments: End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), Peritoneal Dialysis, Hemodialysis
- Equipment used: Vital Signs machine, Bladder Scanner, Lifts, Thermal Imaging, IV pumps/tubes
- Electronic Health Record system: Cerner
Work Schedule
- Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
- Weekend requirement: Minimum 2 weekend shifts per month
- Call: None
- Float: As needed per facility requirements
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
- Minimum 2 years of Nephrology nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Med/Surg nursing experience
