Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Location: Arlington, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36


Unit Information

  • Unit: Labor and Delivery / OB Emergency Department
  • Setting: Women’s Hospital, Floors 1 & 2
  • Number of Beds: 23
  • Patient Ratio: 2:1
  • EMR System: CPN/Meditech
  • On-Call Requirement: None
  • Floating Requirement: Within women’s services (Postpartum/Antepartum)

Typical Procedures & Responsibilities

  • Provide all high-risk OB care
  • Manage magnesium and insulin drips
  • Circulate and scrub in surgical procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
  • Experience working with high-risk patients
  • One year or more of total travel nursing experience
  • Certifications:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • AWHONN (Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses)
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in OB Emergency Department
  • Experience in high-risk, high-volume OB settings

  • Team player who enjoys staying busy and engaged on the unit
