• Approximately 36 hours per week

Job Summary

• Perform high-quality MRI studies ensuring patient safety.
• Operate imaging equipment for diagnostic imaging on various body areas, including advanced studies.
• Interview patients to explain MRI procedures and address concerns with tact and courtesy.
• Pre-screen patients for contraindications and maintain aseptic injection techniques.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists and other customers.
• Train new technologists and patient coordinators; provide oversight and quality checks.
• Troubleshoot MRI scanners and related equipment to prevent downtime; escalate complex issues as needed.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT (MR) certification preferred.
• Venipuncture certification required.
• BLS CPR Certification through the American Heart Association required.
• Valid state driver’s license as applicable.
• State licensure as required.
• Minimum of 1 year MRI experience in high-volume environments preferred.
• Technical proficiency with GE 1.5T or other vendor MRI scanners.
• Ability to independently run advanced MRI studies.
• Strong patient care skills with ability to explain complex medical information clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage customer interactions effectively.
• Local travel may be required.
