Occupational Therapist (OT) - Travel Position

Location: Atlantis, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Employment Type: Travel


Unit and Work Environment

  • Unit: Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit
  • Number of Beds: 42 (brand new unit)
  • Equipment: New therapy equipment available
  • Documentation System: Meditech
  • Schedule: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (36 hours/week)
  • Floating Policy: Primarily floats within the Inpatient Rehab unit
  • Dress Code: Grey scrubs required

Patient Population and Experience Requirements

  • Patient Experience: Minimum 6 months experience in acute care, Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), or Inpatient Rehab unit

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in Florida
  • Occupational Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
  • Experience in Acute Care and Rehabilitation settings
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
  • OTR (Occupational Therapist Registered) Certification
  • De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting

Procedures and Responsibilities

  • Provides 1:1 therapy sessions
