Description
IR Technologist (Interventional Radiology)
Location: Bakersfield, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Work Unit: Interventional Radiology
- Shift: Days
- Hours per Day: 10
- Hours per Week: 40
- Average Caseload: 2-4 cases per day
- Schedule: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM with rotational after-hours call
- Weekend Requirement: On call from Friday 4 PM through Monday 7:30 AM
- Holidays: On-call rotation
- Orientation: Floor-specific, located on the second floor within the Imaging Department
- Patient Population: Adult patients only; includes dialysis catheter, IVC, TIPPS procedures, CT biopsies, and inmate population
- Equipment Used: GE Innova, MedRad Injector, GE Logic Book, Angiojet
- EMR Systems: Cerner, RadNet
- Team Structure: 2 technologists scheduled per 24 hours supporting two campuses; 1 person on call nights and weekends; supported by Radiology Management Team (Director, Manager, Coordinator, Lead) and one interventional radiologist covering three campuses
- Scrub Color: Teal
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in California
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, including experience within the last year
- ARRT (R) certification
- BLS certification
- Fluoroscopy (Fluoro) certification or competency
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Additional Information
- Workload includes floating first to other areas as needed
- Typical schedule pattern: 4 days on, 10-hour shifts, every other weekend (EOW)
