Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech

Location

  • Memphis, Tennessee

Employment Type

  • Travel/Contract
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Day shift, 5x8 hours)
  • Guaranteed 40 hours per week
  • Weekend work not required but optional to pick up
  • No block scheduling accommodations
  • No on-call required

Unit Details

  • Busy, full-service Nuclear Medicine Department
  • Large hospital experience preferred
  • Patient ratio approximately 1:5

Required Qualifications

  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
  • Recent Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year
  • Registered Technologist in Nuclear Medicine Technology (ARRT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

  • Two forms of government-issued ID (e.g., driver’s license, social security card, passport)
  • I-9 verification and E-Verify or attestation as applicable
  • Background check within 60 days of start including statewide, county, federal searches, and education verification
  • Sex offender search and Tennessee Adult Abuse Registry search (TN only)
  • Physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet job demands
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year; annual TB questionnaire if positive
  • Immunizations or proof of immunity required for:
    • Measles (2 vaccines or positive titer)
    • Mumps (2 vaccines or positive titer)
    • Rubella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
    • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
    • Hepatitis B (3-shot series, positive titer, or signed declination)
  • Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – Apr 30)
  • Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (no pending compliance allowed)
  • Fit test for 3M N-95 masks within 1 year (must pass; facial hair not allowed)
  • Photo badge meeting strict guidelines required before start date
  • Two recent professional references required

Additional Notes

  • Locals accepted only within a 100-mile radius
  • One holiday restriction on time off
  • No floating outside scope of practice
  • Dress code: Navy blue scrubs for RNs, specific colors for other disciplines; no prints or embroidered scrubs allowed; business casual with lab coat for case managers
  • Must sign confidentiality acknowledgment prior to start
