Outpatient Physical Therapist - Contract Position
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (5x8 hours, may consider 4x10 hours)
Hours per Week: 40
Job Description
- Provide rehabilitation therapy services primarily for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Manage caseload including case management and patient screening.
- Perform evaluations and assessments such as durable medical equipment (DME) authorization and documentation of need/order, and fall risk assessments.
- Treat a variety of orthopedic conditions including Achilles tendonitis, ACL tears, post-operative back pain, calf strain, carpal tunnel syndrome, disc herniation, fractures, low back pain, headaches, meniscus tears, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, plantar fasciitis, postural dysfunction, rotator cuff injuries (non-surgical and post-operative), SI joint dysfunction, stenosis, thoracic outlet syndrome, TMJ dysfunction, and total joint replacement.
- Provide neuro rehabilitation for conditions such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, vestibular/vertigo issues, and concussion.
- Expected productivity: approximately 11 patient visits per day.
- Documentation and compliance managed through electronic health record system (NextGen).
- Dress code: Business casual.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Indiana.
- Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapist experience, including experience within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Additional Information
- Work environment is outpatient clinic setting.
- Professional skills include case management and building/screening caseloads.
- No prior travel experience explicitly required.
