Registered Nurse – PCU (Progressive Care Unit) – Travel/Contract

Location: Jackson, Tennessee
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 18:45 – 7:15)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

• Work on a busy Cardiac/Progressive Care Telemetry unit.
• Experience in Telemetry and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) required.
• Potential to float to other Medical-Surgical/Telemetry units and ICU (lowest acuity patients).
• Must have recent Epic experience within the last 12 months (detailed on profile).

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee.
• Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year.
• Telemetry experience.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Certifications required:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system.

• E-Verify and I9 documentation required.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals.
• TB screening required annually (negative PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot within 1 year; chest X-ray if past positive).
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required.
• Skills checklist required as applicable to specialty.
