Description
Registered Nurse – Med Surg Telemetry
Location: Gallatin, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Shift: See shift details
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed
Call Requirements: As needed
Unit & Facility Overview
- Medical Surgical Combination unit (Med Surg A5)
- Level III Trauma Center
- 167-bed healthcare facility
- Patient population includes all ages
- Equipment includes Omnicell medication dispensing system
- Electronic Health Record system: Meditech
- Float requirements: May float to similar med/surg units as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
- Required certifications prior to start: ACLS, BLS, NIH, and HWC
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
- Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check before assignment start
Skills & Experience
- Experience in Medical Surgical and Telemetry nursing required
- IV insertion skills required
- Professional demeanor and appearance required
- Dress code: Scrubs of any color; casual wear is not acceptable
Additional Information
- Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays
- Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
