Occupational Therapist (OT) - Inpatient Rehab Therapy

Job Details

• Work setting: Acute Inpatient and Swing Bed rehab units
• Patient load: 8 to 10 patients per day
• Common patient diagnoses: Orthopedic total joints, neurological (strokes), occasional brain injuries (not TBI), medical cases, and General ICU patients
• Float requirement: May float to a nearby medical center when census is low
• EMR system: EPIC
• Orientation: 2-3 days of unit/department-specific orientation
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5 shifts per week, 8 hours per shift (08:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Holiday coverage: May be required
• Dress code: Scrubs permitted but must not match other departments’ colors (color options provided upon hire)
• Supervision: OT Manager available on each shift
• Rehab aides/COTA support: No COTAs staffed

Required Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of licensed experience in acute inpatient or rehab occupational therapy
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Open to first-time travel therapists (prior travel experience not required)

Additional Notes

• Facility enforces a 50-mile radius rule; candidates must reside outside this radius to be considered
• No weekend shifts required
• No self-scheduling; shifts are assigned
