Registered Nurse (RN) - CVICU (Travel Assignment)
Location: Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
Call Requirements: Yes

Facility & Unit Overview
- Community hospital with 171 beds, Joint Commission Accredited
- Level III Trauma Center
- Certified Chest Pain Center
- Unit: ICU/CVICU (Blended ICU)
- Unit Beds: 16
- Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
- Patient Ratio: 1:2
- Equipment: Baxter pumps
- Electronic Health Record system: Medhost
- Float Requirements: Intermediate Care Unit (primary RN), ED holding area as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
- Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience, with CVICU experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Required Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS)
- Prior travel nursing experience required
Clinical Focus & Common Diagnoses
- STEMI, NSTEMI
- COPD exacerbation
- Sepsis
- CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Graft)
- Valve repair/replacement
- Acute Respiratory Failure
- Atrial Fibrillation with Rapid Ventricular Response (A. Fib RVR)
- Alcohol Withdrawal (ETOH Withdrawal)
- Head Injury
- Overdose
- Stroke
- Trauma
- Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
- TCAR (TransCarotid Artery Revascularization) & TVAR (Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair)
Additional Information
- No block schedule requests; 48-hour shifts can be considered but are not guaranteed
- Housing options available
- Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel status
- Orientation is weekly
- Local area offers outdoor recreation including fishing, golfing, swimming, hiking, and local dining options
- Close proximity to major cities: Las Vegas (~2.5 hours), Phoenix (~3.25 hours), Grand Canyon (~3.5 hours), Los Angeles/San Diego (~5 hours)
