Registered Nurse (RN) - CVICU (Travel)

Location: Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

  • Position in a Joint Commission Accredited community hospital with 171 beds and Level III Trauma designation.
  • Work in a blended ICU/CVICU unit with 16 beds.
  • Patient population includes adult and geriatric patients.
  • Patient ratio is 1:2.
  • Equipment includes Baxter pumps.
  • Electronic Health Record system: Medhost.
  • Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
  • Guaranteed 36 hours per week.
  • Call requirements: Yes.
  • Float requirements: Serve as primary RN in Intermediate Care Unit and assist in ED holding area as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona.
  • Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience, including experience within the last year.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.

  • STEMI, NSTEMI
  • COPD exacerbation
  • Sepsis
  • CABG, Valve repair/replacement
  • Acute Respiratory Failure
  • Atrial Fibrillation with Rapid Ventricular Response (A. Fib RVR)
  • Alcohol Withdrawal (ETOH Withdrawal)
  • Head Injury
  • Overdose
  • Stroke
  • Trauma
  • Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
  • Transcarotid Artery Revascularization (TCAR) & Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TVAR)

Additional Information

  • Orientation is weekly.
  • No block schedule requests; 48-hour shifts can be considered but are not guaranteed.
  • Housing options are available.
  • Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel status.
  • Local area offers outdoor recreation such as fishing, golfing, swimming, and hiking, plus local dining and breweries.
  • Proximity to major cities: Las Vegas (~2.5 hours), Phoenix (~3.25 hours), Grand Canyon (~3.5 hours), Los Angeles/San Diego (~5 hours).
