MRI Technician - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Job Details

• Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
• Shift: 08:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Call: Approximately half days during weekdays and every 4th weekend/holidays on a rotating basis with regular staff
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• May be required to float onsite within skill set or to other sites within 40 miles as needed

Required Qualifications

• MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT certification in MRI
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Prior travel experience as an MRI Technologist
• Experience with GE Healthcare MRI systems
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

• Professional resume/profile and at least two professional references
• Signed assignment agreement and confirmation of assignment documentation
• Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and EPLS within 90 days of start
• Employment and education verifications covering the past seven years
• Ascension Core Competencies training (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA, etc.) completed within one year and updated every 3 years
• Specialty skills checklist completed within one year and updated annually
• Specialty exam completed prior to first assignment and updated every 3 years
• Medical imaging contract worker onboarding forms and education attestation
• Forward-facing badge photo with white or blue background (no alterations)

Health and Safety Requirements

• Documentation of immunizations and health screenings:

  • Two MMR vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
  • Two Varicella vaccines, serological evidence of immunity, or verified history (no declinations accepted)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination
  • Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
  • Influenza vaccine recommended during flu season (exemptions accepted with mask requirement)
  • Tuberculosis screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA within required timeframes; if positive, negative chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire
• Fit test for respiratory protection (3M 1860 Regular, 1860 Small, or 1870+), updated annually
• Annual 12-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start and updated annually
• Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually

Additional Notes

• Driver’s license or state ID must be current and match address on file; specific address requirements apply if working outside home state
• All license and certification verifications must be completed within 30 days prior to assignment start
• Some onboarding documents and verifications are completed onsite and uploaded by the facility

This position is suitable for MRI Technologists with hospital experience on GE systems, who have prior travel experience and meet comprehensive licensing, certification, and health requirements.
