Cath Lab Technologist

Location: Eau Claire, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Work schedule: Monday to Thursday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM (10-hour shifts)
• On-call requirements:

  • Monday to Thursday evenings/nights (5:00 PM to 6:30 AM)
  • Weekends (Friday 6:30 AM through Sunday 6:30 AM) on a rotating schedule (every 3rd weekend)
  • Holidays as needed
• Call response time: 30 minutes
• Average cases per day: 6
• Number of cath lab suites: 2
• Common procedures: Coronary, Interventional Radiology (IR), and Vascular procedures (no Electrophysiology cases)
• Duties: Scrub, monitor, and circulate cases; occasional 1:1 sitter assistance
• Orientation: Unit-specific orientation with competency-based training assigned on day 1, to be completed within the first week
• Scrubs provided by facility (light blue)
• Must clock in and out at the facility

Required Qualifications

• Certification: BLS (AHA) required; ACLS preferred
• Experience:

  • Scrubbing skills
  • Pan/general x-ray knowledge
  • Knowledge of IR and cardiac cases
• EMR/Equipment experience: Cerner and Merge

Additional Information

• Cardiologist and IR call coverage involves approximately 10 days per month on Stemi divert and IR call with limited providers
• Prior employment with this facility requires a minimum 6-month gap before reapplying
