Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Location: Rutherfordton, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
Call Requirement: None

Unit & Patient Population

• Unit: Women’s Services (Antepartum, Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, Pediatrics, Gynecology)
• Beds: 3 LDR, 4 Triage, 2 Antepartum, 10 Postpartum/Gyn/Peds
• Patient Population: Maternal, newborn, adult, geriatric, pediatric
• Patient Ratios: Based on acuity
• Equipment: Philips fetal monitors with OB Trave Vue
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): MediTech
• Float Requirements: Yes

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
• Experience working with Pediatric patients
• Experience in Charge nurse roles
• Certifications prior to start:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of RN experience in Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, Pediatrics, and Gynecology
• 3 years of charge nurse experience preferred
