Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Location

  • Manchester, New Hampshire

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Unit Information

  • Unit: Cardiac telemetry unit with 24 beds
  • Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 4 patients (days and nights)
  • Staffing includes charge nurse, patient care technicians (PCT), and monitor techs
  • Equipment: telemetry monitoring
  • Documentation system: Allscripts
  • Scheduling: every other weekend required
  • Floating policy: float to like units

Patient Population and Care

  • Care of patients post TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement), cardiac catheterizations, ablations, Watchman device, STEMI, pacemakers, and CardioMEMS
  • Advanced cardiac skills required for procedures performed on unit

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in New Hampshire
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience, including telemetry experience within the last year
  • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Experience caring for patients post TAVR, cardiac catheterizations, ablations, and Watchman device
  • Ability to perform procedures on the unit including TAVR, ablations, Watchman device, STEMI, pacemakers, and CardioMEMS
