Description

Registered Nurse - ICU

Location: Gallatin, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Weekly Hours: 36 hours (varied shifts)
Weekend Hours: As needed, every other weekend
Call Requirements: As needed


Unit and Facility Overview

  • Unit: Critical Care Unit (CCU)
  • Trauma Level: III
  • Patient Population: All ages
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR) system: Meditech
  • Patient Ratios: Not specified
  • Facility Size: 167-bed healthcare facility
  • Orientation: Weekly on Mondays
  • Dress Code: Professional, non-offensive attire; scrub color is flexible

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
  • Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Required Certifications prior to start:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS)
    • Healthcare Worker Certification (HWC)
  • Must clear Tennessee Abuse Registry check before assignment start

Job Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Provide quality critical care nursing in the CCU
  • Float to other units as needed
  • Work collaboratively as a professional team player

Additional Notes

  • Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
  • The client may require additional certifications beyond those listed
  • Weekend and call shifts are on an as-needed basis
  • No specific patient ratios or common diagnoses provided
