Registered Nurse (PACU) - Travel Assignment
Location: Dallas, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
- Number of Beds: 16
- Number of Staff: 16
- Patient Ratios: 2:1
- Equipment Used: LVADs, A-lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, Ventilators
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech
- Floating Areas: Pre-op
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 1 year of PACU (Post Anesthesia Care) experience, with experience within the last year
- Critical Care ICU experience
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
Typical Procedures on Unit
- Cardiac catheterization
- Ablation
- Carotid endarterectomy
- Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR)
- Laminectomies
- Hip and knee replacements
Work Environment & Expectations
- Shift Details: Approximately 36 hours per week
- Call Requirements: Must be able to respond within 1 hour to hospital if on call
- Weekend Call: Required
- Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs
- Personality Fit: Strong teamwork skills required
