• Shift: Day (7:30 AM – 5:00 PM, four 9-hour shifts per week)

Job Description

• Provide professional nursing care to a group of patients during assigned shifts.
• Perform initial patient assessments and develop, implement, and modify individualized plans of care.
• Administer medications necessary for procedures.
• Manage patient care during moderate sedation.
• Monitor hemodynamics throughout procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care and procedure events.
• Utilize supplies and equipment related to various interventional radiology procedures.
• Ensure patient and employee safety by identifying and addressing hazards.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with healthcare team members.
• Participate in professional development and fulfill departmental competency requirements.

Specialty Procedures and Skills

• Peripheral vascular work
• Venous central lines
• Tube changes
• Neuro procedures (preferred)
• Embolization work (arterial and venous)
• Venous thrombectomy work
• Moderate sedation management
• Hemodynamic monitoring

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Minimum 3 years of Interventional Radiology nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience with peripheral vascular work
• Experience with venous central lines
• Experience with tube changes
• Experience with neuro procedures
• Experience with embolization work (arterial and venous)
• Experience with venous thrombectomy work
• Experience in moderate sedation management

Work Schedule

• Day shift, 9 hours per day, 36 hours per week (four 9-hour shifts)
