Description
Registered Nurse (ICU) - Traveler Position
Location: Rock Springs, Wyoming
Employment Type: Traveler - Backfill
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour nights
Hours per Week: 36
Job Description
- Provide bedside nursing care managing critical care patients in a rural ICU setting.
- Utilize equipment including Alaris IV pumps, Space labs, cardiac monitoring, Mindray vitals, Nicom, Kangaroo pumps, Zo US defibrillators, and Pyxis medication systems.
- May assist with Medsurg, ER, and post-partum units but will not carry patient load in those areas.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2 in critical care, 1:4 in stepdown, and 1:4-5 for Medsurg overflow.
- Unit size: 10 beds.
- Dress code: Any color scrubs.
- Orientation includes HR and education requirements on day 1, restraint training on day 2, shadowing one shift before working independently.
- Works alongside another RN; on-call may be required during low census periods.
- Weekend work is required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience.
- Wyoming RN state license or compact RN license valid in Wyoming.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
