Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: Mount Holly, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Floating required within 5 hospitals based on needs (within skillset)
• No weekends or holidays required
• On-call details to be discussed with manager

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
• Circulating experience in the Operating Room
• Experience with Epic electronic medical record system

Certifications & Compliance

• BLS (Basic Life Support) current and valid (cannot expire within 30 days of contract start)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) if applicable to unit (not explicitly required here but facility policy noted)
• Background check: 7-year criminal history, updated annually
• E-Verify compliance
• Physical exam within last 12 months
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable within 1 year
• Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen without THC panel within 6 months, updated annually
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required for flu season
• Other immunizations or titers as applicable: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Fit mask test completed onsite during orientation
• Visual acuity exam (20/40 or better)
• Latex questionnaire required
• Pass/fail dysrhythmia testing required for certain units (not specifically stated for OR)
• Professional references: 2 required within last 2 years
• Employment application and skills checklist required and must be updated annually
