Description
Respiratory Therapist - Indiana
Job Details
- Location: Merrillville, Indiana
- Shift: Night (12-hour shifts)
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week (36 hours), every other weekend and every other holiday
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Work Settings: ICU, ER, general floors, and potentially Neonatal ICU (preferred but not required)
- Ventilator Equipment: Puritan Bennett 840s and 980 vents, V60 BiPAPs
- Typical Caseload: Approximately 4-6 ventilated patients per therapist
- Team: Night shift typically staffed with 3-4 therapists per hospital campus
- Collaboration: All therapists are trained equally and expected to assist during Codes or Rapid Responses
Required Qualifications
- Certification: CRT or RRT (either accepted)
- License: Valid Indiana Respiratory Therapist license
- Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support)
Additional Information
- Must be able to work across multiple hospital campuses
- Prior travel experience is not specified or required
