Registered Nurse - Med Surg
Location
- Sierra Vista, Arizona

Unit Information
- Acute Care Med/Surg unit
- 34 beds
- Patient ratio: 6:1
- Patient population: primarily geriatric and adults; occasional pediatrics (not assigned to traveler)
- Equipment includes Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, telemetry monitors
- Electronic Health Record system: Cerner
Work Schedule
- Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Must occasionally work weekends (same hours)
- On-call only when unit is down staffed or placed on call
Required Certifications and Licenses
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN in Med/Surg specialty
- For travel assignments, at least 1 year of healthcare experience is required
- Telemetry experience preferred
Job Responsibilities and Expectations
- Provide nursing care on a Med/Surg unit with telemetry, surgical, and general medical patients
- Flexibility and willingness to assist where needed
- Possible float to care for inpatient holds
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Arizona
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Dress Code
- Scrubs of any color
- Closed-toe shoes required
- Only scrubs allowed for clinical staff
