Registered Nurse - Med Surg

Location

• Sierra Vista, Arizona

Employment Type

• Travel contract
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit and Patient Population

• Acute Care unit with 34 beds
• Patient ratio: 6:1
• Patient types: telemetry, surgical, general medical
• Population served: geriatric, adults, occasional pediatrics (peds not assigned to traveler)
• Equipment includes Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, telemetry monitors
• Electronic Health Record system: Cerner

Work Schedule

• Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Occasional weekend work required (same hours)
• Call only when down staffed or placed on call
• Weekly hours: approximately 36

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Arizona
• Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Job Responsibilities and Expectations

• Possible float to care for inpatient holds
• Flexible and willing to assist where needed
• Must adhere to dress code: clinical staff wear scrubs (any color) and closed-toed shoes only
