Description
Radiologic Technologist
Location: Gunnison, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Hours per Week: 36
Job Description
- Perform radiology and fluoroscopy technical procedures to produce and process diagnostic images of various body parts.
- Set proper exposure factors and position patients according to A.L.A.R.A. guidelines to ensure diagnostic quality.
- Operate a variety of technical equipment and software related to imaging.
- Prepare and administer contrast materials to patients.
- Assist with special procedures and examinations.
- May specialize in imaging specific anatomy such as chest, gastrointestinal tract, or orthopedic areas.
- Cross-training in additional imaging modalities is required per department policy.
Required Qualifications
- Certified and registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of Radiology Technician experience within the last year.
- Reliable transportation is necessary due to lack of public transportation in the area.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Diagnostic Imaging.
Additional Information
- This position is located in a rural area without public transportation options.
- Cross-training in multiple imaging modalities is essential.
