Job Details

• Setting: Adult Outpatient
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 4x10 hour day shifts (6:45 AM - 5:15 PM)
• Caseload: 20-35 patients per day
• Shift Type: Days, rotating schedule
• On-call: No
• Weekend Requirement: No
• Floating: May float within scope to meet facility needs (treatments and simulations)
• Local Radius Rule: Candidate must live more than 100 miles from the facility to submit; local candidates not accepted
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Documentation Systems: Mosaiq and iKnowMed
• EMR: McKesson

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiation Therapist license in West Virginia
• Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience within the last year

Submission Requirements

• Candidate must reside more than 100 miles from the facility
• Permanent employees cannot return as travelers for 3 years after last permanent date worked
• Clean license required (no prior suspensions; probations reviewed case-by-case)
• Flu vaccination required unless medically exempt with documentation from an allergist or physician
• Submission packet must include:

  • Candidate profile/work history
  • Specialty-specific skills checklist
  • Minimum 2 manager/charge nurse references (preferably within past 2 years)
  • License verification (NURSYS pulled within 2 days of submission)
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Social Security Number

Background and Compliance Checks

• 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start
• SAM and OIG checks updated annually
• Sex offender search within 30 days of start and updated annually

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by a licensed provider, confirming good health and no physical limitations
• Annual fit mask testing (N95) required; accommodations available if needed
• Required vaccinations and documentation:

  • Tdap (Tetanus/Diphtheria) vaccination after age 11
  • Negative TB test within 3 months of start (2-step skin test or preferred QGold/TSpot)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 vaccines or positive titers required)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or titer documentation
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titers
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (mandatory during flu season)
• Drug screening within 30 days of start, including a comprehensive panel
• COVID-19 vaccination is not mandatory; proof of vaccination or signed declination accepted

Orientation and Training

• Orientation occurs every other Thursday for RNs and Monday for allied health
• Orientation is 2 days (Thursday and Friday) including Cerner Infusion Management
• Required to complete in-service training modules and pass/fail testing prior to start (approx. 4 hours)
• Must review facility-specific policies including blood administration, dress code, math calculation for medication administration, and EKG review (if applicable)

• No weekend or on-call requirements
• No floating to sister facilities
• Locals not accepted due to distance rule
• Must comply with all facility policies and documentation requirements prior to start
