Registered Nurse – Electrophysiology

Location: Peoria, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours: 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week

Position Summary

• Assist physicians with arteriograms and other specialized radiologic procedures under sterile technique.
• Prepare examination area and position patients for procedures.
• Operate complex radiology equipment following established techniques.
• Support physicians by passing materials, taking exposures, and other tasks as directed.
• Provide patient care appropriate to the ages of patients served.

Unit Details

• Unit size: 11 employees (5 techs, 6 RNs)
• Electrophysiologists: 4
• Procedure rooms: 2
• Procedure volume: 5-10 procedures per day
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, with rotating Saturday call (8 AM – 1 PM)
• Call/Night coverage: 4 x 10-hour shifts with weekend and night call rotation

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that application process has been initiated
• BLS (AHA) certification
• Must comply with a drug-free workplace policy and produce a negative drug screen for all panels

Additional Information

• Orientation: 12 non-billable hours (guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation)
• Call off policy: Equivalent of 12 hours off every 13 weeks with no penalty or pay deduction
• Local rate adjustment applies for clinicians living within 50 miles (not relevant for pay disclosure)
