Description

Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – New Mexico

Location

  • Santa Fe, New Mexico
  • Primary assignment at one medical campus with required willingness to float to the main campus or other locations as staffing needs require.

Employment Type

  • Travel contract
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

  • Day shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Four 10-hour shifts per week (4x10s)
  • Full-time

Job Summary

  • Independently practices nursing in the same or similar clinical setting.
  • Provides routine and complex nursing care.
  • Develops ability to manage clinical contingencies.
  • Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers to manage clinical situations.
  • Meets professional nursing competencies and standards of practice.
  • Provides nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
  • Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
  • Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
  • Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
  • Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, families, and caregivers.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in New Mexico
  • Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
  • BLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
