Description
Respiratory Therapist (Cardiopulmonary) - Contract
Location: Aberdeen, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift, 05:30 AM – 06:00 PM (12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week)
Job Summary
Provide, coordinate, and direct individualized comprehensive respiratory care based on patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Function with minimal supervision after orientation.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Washington
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Respiratory Therapist experience
- Experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
- Experience as an OB Technician
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
- Ability to lift and move patients and equipment as follows:
- Lift 50 lbs from floor to waist and from wheelchair to bed level
- Lift 5 lbs overhead
- Pull 50 lbs from stretcher to bed
- Push 150 lbs loaded stretcher for 300 feet
- Adequate auditory and visual abilities to perform procedures, take accurate blood pressures, observe patients, and complete charting
- Ability to meet specific physical and professional criteria for the Cardiopulmonary department
Responsibilities
- Deliver respiratory care services in accordance with scope of practice
- Report to Cardiopulmonary Director or Lead RRT in their absence
- Collaborate as a team player
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be pre-approved and added to the end of the contract
Work Environment
- Located near Pacific Northwest beaches and Olympic National Forest
