Description
MRI Tech - Radiology
Location: Charleston, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work scheduled according to facility policy, including every other weekend and holiday rotation with hospital employees.
- Unit: MRI, located on the 1st floor of the main hospital building.
- Equipment used: GE 1.5T Signa, GE 3T Pioneer MRI machines.
- Documentation system: Meditech.
- On-call requirement: Friday to Sunday, 8 PM to 7 AM, every 4-5 weekends.
- Procedures performed include MRI/MRA of Brain, Abdomen, MRCP, Spine, Upper and Lower Extremities, Cardiac, Breast, Orbit, Liver and Adrenal mass, IAC Brain, Brachial Plexus, Spectroscopy, MRA Neck, and Soft tissue neck.
- Dress code: Gray scrubs required.

Required Qualifications
- MRI Technologist with 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year.
- ARRT (MR) certification.
- Current BLS certification.
- Formal evaluation of proficiency and knowledge as an MRI Technologist or documented training/established knowledge regarding the risks and protocols for handling hazardous drugs in accordance with USP 800 guidelines.
Schedule & Hours
- 36 hours per week.
- Expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation.
- On-call shifts as noted above.
