Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab (Travel)
Location
- Alexandria, Louisiana

Shift
- Days: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Patient Population
- Cardiac catheterizations
- Peripheral procedures
- Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
- Cardiac devices
Job Summary
- Independently provides routine and complex nursing care in a cardiac cath lab setting.
- Demonstrates clinical awareness and manages contingencies.
- Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers.
- Provides care consistent with nursing standards and competencies.
- Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring effectiveness and side effects.
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
- Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, families, and caregivers.
Work Schedule
- Full-time, 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
- Weekend requirement: every third or fourth weekend
- On-call requirement: yes, scheduled collaboratively with staff
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio
- 1 patient per 4 staff members (2 nurses and 2 techs)
Dress Code
- Galaxy blue uniform
Required Qualifications
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
Licenses and Certifications
- Valid RN license in Louisiana
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association (AHA)
- ACLS certification
