Description
Registered Nurse - ICU (Travel)
Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Description
- Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
- 16-bed high acuity unit providing complex monitoring and treatment of adult patients
- Nurses collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Focus on patient comfort, safety, and a secure environment
- Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
Work Schedule
- 36 or 48 hours per week (36 guaranteed hours)
- Holidays as required by facility
- Every other weekend required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
