Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel Assignment

Location: Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
Number of Openings: 1

Unit & Patient Population

• Unit: ICU/CVICU (Blended ICU)
• Number of Beds: 16
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
• Equipment: Baxter pumps
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) system: Medhost
• Trauma Level: III
• Float Requirements: Intermediate Care Unit (primary RN), ED holding (as needed)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
• Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Clinical Experience & Common Diagnoses

• Experience with STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, Sepsis
• Post-operative care: CABG, Valve repair/replacement
• Acute Respiratory Failure, Atrial Fibrillation with RVR
• ETOH Withdrawal, Head Injury, Overdose, Stroke, Trauma
• Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
• Transcarotid Artery Revascularization (TCAR) & Transcatheter Valve Replacement (TVAR)

Additional Information

• Attendance Policy: One call-out allowed per contract; second call-out requires documentation and is reviewed case-by-case
• No block schedule requests; 48-hour shifts may be considered but are not guaranteed
• Shift preference flexibility should be indicated (day, night, or both)
• Community hospital with Joint Commission accreditation and certified Chest Pain Center
• Location offers outdoor recreation and proximity to major cities (Las Vegas, Phoenix, Grand Canyon, Los Angeles, San Diego)
