Description
Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel Assignment
Location: Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
Number of Openings: 1
Unit & Patient Population
- Unit: ICU/CVICU (Blended ICU)
- Number of Beds: 16
- Patient Ratio: 1:2
- Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
- Equipment: Baxter pumps
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) system: Medhost
- Trauma Level: III
- Float Requirements: Intermediate Care Unit (primary RN), ED holding (as needed)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
- Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Clinical Experience & Common Diagnoses
- Experience with STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, Sepsis
- Post-operative care: CABG, Valve repair/replacement
- Acute Respiratory Failure, Atrial Fibrillation with RVR
- ETOH Withdrawal, Head Injury, Overdose, Stroke, Trauma
- Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
- Transcarotid Artery Revascularization (TCAR) & Transcatheter Valve Replacement (TVAR)
Additional Information
- Attendance Policy: One call-out allowed per contract; second call-out requires documentation and is reviewed case-by-case
- No block schedule requests; 48-hour shifts may be considered but are not guaranteed
- Shift preference flexibility should be indicated (day, night, or both)
- Community hospital with Joint Commission accreditation and certified Chest Pain Center
- Location offers outdoor recreation and proximity to major cities (Las Vegas, Phoenix, Grand Canyon, Los Angeles, San Diego)
