Description
Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Specialty: Behavioral Health Registered Nurse
- Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: Required to float within scope to meet facility needs, including to any age population as needed
- May be required to work as charge RN during shifts (no additional pay for charge role)
- First-time travel nurses accepted

Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse license in Maryland
- Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Behavioral Health nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience working with Pediatric patients in a Behavioral Health setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Behavioral Health nursing experience

- Candidates must complete various facility-specific documents including job description acknowledgment, criminal background disclosure, confidentiality agreements, and informed consent forms prior to start
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training will be conducted onsite for all candidates
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests required as applicable
- Candidates must bring a clear headshot photo on a white background for badge issuance
- Candidates must complete fingerprinting appointment at least 10 days prior to start date; fingerprint results must be cleared before or during orientation
- Candidates must complete annual TB questionnaire regardless of TB test results; positive responses require new TB testing
- Facility has strict policies regarding drug screening and immunizations to support behavioral health and addiction treatment environment

- No on-call requirement
- RTO (Return to Office) restrictions: 1 pre-approved allowed
This position is ideal for Behavioral Health RNs with at least 2 years of experience who are comfortable working in a psychiatric setting and are willing to float across age populations as needed. Compliance with Maryland-specific fingerprinting and comprehensive background checks is mandatory.
