Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR) Travel Position

Location: Denver, Colorado
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Employment Type: Travel

Unit Information

• Unit: Operating Room (OR)
• Hospital Size: 408 beds
• OR Rooms: 14 total (1 Hybrid CV OR, 1 Cysto, 12 multipurpose ORs)
• Staffing: Approximately 60 full-time employees including OR RNs, CSTs, PCTs, Anesthesia Techs, and leadership roles
• Shift Coverage:

  • Day Shift: 14-16 RNs and CSTs, plus Clinical Charge RNs
  • Night Shift: Clinical Charge RN, 1 OR RN, 1 CST, with call teams for Neuro, CVOR, and General surgery
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Equipment: Standard OR equipment, Stryker video systems
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

Job Responsibilities & Skills

• Independently circulate as an RN in the OR
• Ability to scrub preferred
• Perform all typical OR procedures except transplants

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Colorado
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification

Work Schedule & On-Call

• Typical workweek: 36 hours
• On-call required 1 day per week from 5 PM to 7 PM
• Weekend on-call approximately once every 6 weeks (dependent on orthopedic surgeon on-call schedule)
