Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery
Location
- Lewiston, Maine
Employment Type
- Travel contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Unit & Patient Population
- Labor & Delivery (LDRP) unit with 24 beds
- Patient population includes neonates and adults
- Trauma Level III facility
- Patient ratios typically 1:6, with census ranging from 3 to 24 patients
Schedule
- Rotating shifts: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (3x12-hour shifts)
- Self-scheduling
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Call requirements apply
Required Certifications
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maine
- Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience in Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum (LDRP) care
- Postpartum nursing experience
- Current certifications in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Preferred Experience
- Level 1 Nursery experience
- Circulating for C-sections
- AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred
Equipment & Systems
- Electronic Fetal Monitor (EFM)
- IV equipment
- Electronic Health Records: Cerner, PowerChart
- Omnicell Medication System

- No first-time travelers accepted
- Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
