Job Opportunity: CVOR Tech
Location: Wyoming, Michigan
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (4x10 hours), 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours per Week: 40

Required Qualifications
- CVOR Technologist with at least 1 year of experience.
- CVOR Technologist experience within the last year.
Certifications (as applicable)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI acceptable.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI acceptable.
- Other certifications (PALS, NRP, TNCC, NIH Stroke) may be required as applicable; refer to job details.
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- I9 or Attestation.
- Government Issued Photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
- E-Verify or Attestation.
- Background Check: 7-year history within 6 months of start, updated annually. Includes SS Trace, County, Statewide, Nationwide, Sex Offender, Education Verification.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required.
- Education Verification required; transcript or diploma accepted as placeholder if pending.
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement.
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable.
- Competency Exam as applicable.
- Facility-specific forms including Demographics and Emergency Contact, Vaccine Attestation (if declining vaccines), and Contractor Screening Checklist.
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical Exam: Physician statement within last 12 months (for records only, not required for facility clearance).
- Fit Mask: Fit testing completed onsite during orientation.
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap: Within 10 years required; declinations accepted except for OB or Social Services.
- TB Testing: Negative TB test (QGold, TSPOT, or 2-Step PPD) within 1 year of start; if positive, negative chest X-ray within 5 years and annual TB questionnaire required. TB questionnaire required annually for all candidates.
- Immunizations or positive titers required for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (series or positive titer)
- Varicella
- Declinations accepted for most departments except ED, ICU, OB, or Social Services.
- Flu Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31); medical/religious exemptions accepted but declinations are not.
Drug Testing
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; instant acceptable. Not required annually.
References
- Minimum of 2 professional references required.
This position is a travel contract role in surgical services requiring compliance with extensive background, health, and certification standards. The shift is a 4-day, 10-hour day schedule. Candidates should be prepared to meet all immunization and documentation requirements prior to start.
