Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) - Travel Position

Location: Palestine, Texas
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (No weekends or on-call)

Job Description

• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and other medications to patients as ordered by physicians.
• Receive and record radiopharmaceuticals; perform daily and weekly quality control dose testing.
• Perform nuclear medicine (NM) and treadmill stress tests under the direction of a cardiologist.
• Process and enhance digital images using advanced computer technology for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
• Evaluate image quality and calibrate instrumentation; process images for radiologist/cardiologist review.
• Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems effectively.
• Clean patient rooms and work areas routinely after each patient.
• Work side-by-side with cardiologists or ACLS-certified RNs during stress echo and treadmill procedures.
• Familiarity with GE Healthcare NM Infinia and NEMIS / Xeleris 5.0 equipment is required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Texas
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, including experience within the last year
• ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine or CNMT registration
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience as a Radiology Technologist

Additional Information

• Candidates must be able to start within 2 weeks of accepting the offer.
• This is a travel assignment with a 14-week duration.
