Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Cath Lab RN)

Location: Longmont, Colorado
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Summary

• Role: Cath Lab Registered Nurse
• Unit: Combined Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology (IR)
• Average cases per day: 4 (mix of cath and IR procedures)
• Common patient diagnoses: STEMI, NSTEMI, pacemakers, and IR patients
• Work schedule: Four 9-hour day shifts per week (approx. 36 hours/week)
• Call requirements:

  • Approximately 10 weeknight calls per month
  • Weekend call about every 3rd weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
  • Holiday call required (1 major summer and 1 major winter holiday), shared among staff
  • Call response time: 30 minutes
• Floating: May be required to float within a regional zone in case of extreme need

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license appropriate for Colorado
• Minimum years of Cath Lab nursing experience: Not explicitly stated, but Cath Lab experience is a must
• Preferred: IR experience or willingness to learn
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (American Heart Association)
  • BLS (American Heart Association)
• Must have a valid driver’s license (for radius requirements)

Orientation & Training

• Unit-specific orientation conducted over several days following initial clinical orientation
• Clinicians must be physically present in-state during orientation week, even if some modules are remote

Work Environment & Tools

• EMR system: Epic
• Equipment: MacLab, Siemens
• Cardiologist coverage: In-house during the day; on-call overnight
• Scrubs: Provided blues

Additional Notes

• Hiring process includes profile review and interview with unit manager
• Radius for travel: 60 miles from facility
• Shift hours: Approximately 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM with call shifts averaging 15 call shifts every 6 weeks
